Whitening is suitable where a patient is happy to achieve a gradual whitening effect. Whitening is a good way to ensure your whiter teeth are maintained over time. At your whitening appointment, the dentist with take impressions of your teeth, from which a study model is made, producing a small tray (or ‘pocket’) which fits your teeth perfectly. Your whitening kit includes special teeth whitening solution which is added to the tray ensuring that it only comes into contact with the required surfaces and that no damage is done to the soft gums.

‘Boutique Whitening’ is our take home whitening kit and is a safe and effective way to lighten the natural colour of your teeth and enhance your smile, without removing or damaging any of your tooth surface.
The whitening gel comes in a syringe and is inserted into custom made thin, clear and comfortable trays, which are then worn for 1.5 – 2 hours – over a period of 2-3 weeks. The gel contains 10% carbamide peroxide (the whitening agent) and potassium nitrate as a desensitizer.
This gel releases oxygen into the enamel of the teeth, which gradually whitens the teeth.
